Trust Autation Receives Fourth Contract To Provide Motion Control System for Counterfire Radar Production
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., November 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Trust Automation, Inc., the world’s leading developer of linear servo drives, creator of custom and standard high precision motion, motor control and system design as well as complete power train devices for the defense and other industries, today announced its fourth Low Rate Initial Production contract for the rugged and high tech vehicle automation system for the AN/TPQ-53 (Q-53) produced by Lockheed Martin. AN/TPQ-53 is a counterfire target acquisition radar that provides soldiers with enhanced 360-degree protection from indirect fire.
The AN/TPQ-53 is a new generation radar system with the flexibility to adapt to harsh environments and changing missions. In today’s rapidly evolving security landscape of unconventional battlefields and irregular warfare, our soldiers need to quickly locate and neutralize mortar and rocket threats. The AN/TPQ-53 meets this challenge head on.
