Trust Automation Launches New Cyber Defense Division
San Luis Obispo, CA, January 31, 2019—Trust Automation Inc., a supplier of automation systems for defense and industrial applications, has created a new operating division that will develop and deliver the next generation of cyber defense technologies.
Called Trust Intelligence Systems, the new division is commercializing the Autonomic Intelligent Cyber Sensor (AICS), which uses advanced machine learning techniques and specialized sensors to detect and mitigate cyberattacks on industrial control systems. Trust Intelligence Systems is offering AICS under an exclusive license from the United States Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory, which developed the technology to protect vulnerable energy, water and industrial infrastructure.
Trust Intelligence Systems is also developing military cyber defense and electronic warfare systems that build upon Trust’s proven experience with advanced signal processing, sensing and energy-management systems—as well as the company’s ability to harden these systems for battlefield use.
“The common thread running through Trust Intelligence Systems is the extension of our core engineering competencies with recent advances in computing and machine learning. Our mission is to create powerful cyber defense systems capable of protecting our warfighters in the field and our citizens at home,” says Marc Takken, the division’s Executive Vice President.
